Joel Abels* (Seamus MacKowen) most recently appeared in Camelot with the New York Philharmonic broadcast Live at Lincoln Center for PBS. National Tour: The Wedding Singer. Ashley Ander (Krystal) is originally form Vancouver, Canada and a recent graduate of The Circle in the Square Theatre School. Her favorite roles include Claudio (Measure for Measure), Imogene Charlene (The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas), and Masha (The Seagull). This is Ashley's New York Debut!! And she is very excited to be working with such a wonderful cast. She would like to thank family and friends for all there love and support!! Keep on truckin'.
Cody Andrus (Dad) will be going out this fall on the first national tour of If You Give A Pig A Pancake for Theatreworks/USA. Joshua Brandenburg (Bobby)- When the phone call came through that he had landed the role of Bobby in "The Johnny", Joshua was deep in the Amazon rain forest taking pictures of wildlife photographers. Immediately he knew that this was the show he had been waiting for and took the first boat back to NYC. Taking a boat was a mistake. Trained in Michigan and honed in Los Angeles Joshua came to New York knowing it was time to fully unleash his creativity. His most recent roles were as Jesus in "Godspell", Buddy in "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story", Pippin in "Pippin", and Danny in "Baby". We only have so much space, so if you want to know more, ask him. He likes it. Joshua would like to thank his family for their constant support and love. "This could be the greatest thing ever!"
Keith Collins (Jonathan)- A former Vocal performance major at the University of Southern California, Keith has performed in Japan and Canada, as well as the Sydney Opera House, and (most importantly), Dodger Stadium, where he had the pleasure of singing the National Anthem. Regional Credits include The Wild Party (Burrs), Bye-Bye Birdie (Conrad Birdie), The Secret Garden (Archibald Craven), Cabaret (Emcee), and the west coast premiere of Everyman (Everyman). Jenna Dallacco (Cheerleader) was most recently seen in Broadway's Rising Stars II at Town Hall. New York: Queen Esther (Esther), Urinetown (Little Becky Two-Shoes/Mrs. Millenium), One Step Closer: A Revue of Alan Menken (Jenna the Rockette), and Romeo and Juliet (Benvolio). Regional: Oliver! Justin Jones (Student) is excited to return to the FRINGE with The Johnny, having been a part of last year's hit Show Choir: The Musical! Other NY credits include The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public (Opening Doors Theatre Co.), Bernstein's Peter Pan (The Berstein Foundation), Hair (Peculiar Works Project), and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Circle in the Square). Regionally Justin has been featured as Puck in Midsummer (Oakpoint Shakespeare Fest.), Cain/Japeth in Children of Eden (Theatre 3 Inc.), Danny in Baby (Casa Manana) & Zangara in Assassins (Collin Theatre Center). Derek Krantz (Johnny) recently made the move to New York after graduating from The University of Michigan where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre. GO BLUE! He is also a proud graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts' High School Drama program. Derek wants to give love to his insanely supportive family and friends as well as the amazing people at Nicolosi & Co. Kick-Ass!!
Jennifer Margulis (Ruby) is thrilled to be part of The Johnny! She was most recently seen as Isa in the New York premiere of Jimi and Mr. B at the Egg in Albany. Other recent credits include Chava in Fiddler at the Fulton Opera House and Mouse in Goodnight, Moon at Manhattan Children's Theatre. Jennifer leaves next month on the National Tour of Oliver where she'll be performing in Fagin's Gang and understudying Dodger and Bet. Jean McCormick* (Jade) is thrilled to be a part of the Fringe Festival, and especially, The Johnny! Other New York credits include - The Flood with Prospect Theater Company, Church at The Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Silk Stockings for Lost Musicals and Floyd Collins at Gallery Players. She has also taken part in workshops for both the ASCAP and BMI Writers Programs. Favorite roles include Sally in Me and My Girl, Rhetta in Pump Boys and Dinettes and Carrie in Carousel. She was also a lead vocalist in Japan at Tokyo Disney Sea, where she got to sing with Chip and Dale - which she thought was pretty cool. Currently, Jean is working on a cabaret about the artistic fulfillment to be found singing songs like "Whoomp! There It Is" on cruise ships. Susanne Nelson (Mom) has worked in Film, TV and Theatre since her teens.
Born and raised on the West Coast, some of her favorite projects since her arrival in NYC are Film: "Stepford Wives", Stage: Starred as Christie Valentine in 'Soccer Mom from Hell', and Sheila in a 'A Chorus Line'. She has just been cast as Ms. Sneed in the film "Clown Kill'. She's also a familiar face in commercials! She would like to thank her family, friends, teachers and guardian angels, for all their love and support.
Rori Nogee (Lanie)- Feels blessed to be working with such a talented group of people! Broadway: Joseph...Dreamcoat. Off B-way: Pinkalicious(New World Stages), Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad (Zipper Factory). National Tours: Wizard of Oz (Dorothy). Favorite roles: Magenta/Janet(Rocky Horror), Carrie(Carousel), Roxie(Chicago), Narrator(Joseph...Dreamcoat) and the title role in The Diary of Anne Frank. Rori has also hosted and performed in the Students Live workshops for the Broadway productions of Rent, Chicago, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. She is currently a member of the rock group, Witches in Bikinis. NO DAY BUT TODAY.
Michael Scibilia (Principal) is so excited to be taking part in the first production of The Johnny. Michael is a graduate of AMDA, and recent credits include: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (National Tour), Man of La Mancha(National Tour), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(National Tour), Evita(Gateway, Fireside), Full Monty(Gateway), Aida(Gateway), The Toymaker(The York Theatre, NYC, Original Cast), and many more. Vladimi Versailles (Announcer) has just recently graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Theatre Performance and Musical Theatre Minor. Recent credits include The Comedy of Errors at the New Jersey Shakespeare Theatre, Classical Theatre of Harlem and several promos and commercials running on the internet.
